Details
-First priority is to provide a safe course for our runners. Course Marshals are strategically positioned throughout the course and are responsible for keeping runners on course.
-If by the roadway, Course Marshals are responsible for keeping cars off the course and maintaining a safe environment for runners.
-It’s a long course, so you could be the only person runners see for miles; therefore, get up, get excited, and keep them moving! Be creative, bring a radio to play music, wear a funny hat or costume – you’ll be part of the inspiration that keeps the runners moving. Do not tell runners they are 'almost there' no matter where you are on the course. Use words of encouragement like “Good job!” “Keep going!” “Dig deep, you can do it!"
-Course Marshals will be notified when the last runner has come through.
