Runners are approaching on the St. Marks Trail from the Northwest. They will see this turnaround and be thinking THIS is where they need to turnaround. But no, they need to pass you to continue to the turnaround at Ridge Road. Then, as they return from Ridge Road on their first lap, THIS is where they turn and loop BACK to Ridge Road. The second time runners return from Ridge Road they pass through this position to the finish. There will be three large signs directing runners to support your efforts. Runners approaching from the SW will be at approximately 19.19 of the marathon. Returning from Ridge Road the first time runners will be at approx 20.3 miles. At this point runners will turn around to return to Ridge Road. The second time runners return to this point they will be at about 21.6. Thus, many runners will be experiencing the onset of mind warping chemical shifts in their body. They need you to be clear and encouraging to get them through to the last miles towards the finish. THANK YOU!
