Event Breakdown & Cleanup Crew

General event breakdown labor. All things that are setup must be broken down, and that's where you come in :) Support moving all items back into center and/or staging area for removal off-site.

Youth Racing Support Team

Details

This group of volunteers is responsible for wrangling kids for each age-based heat in the start/finish area, getting them excited to race, and ensuring they transition out of the staging area and off of the course to the bike rodeo and family fun zone.

Youth Bike Rodeo Support Team

This team will work with the Youth Bike Rodeo Coordinator to lead youth through Bike Rodeo stations, support tabulation of scoring, and assist with set-up and breakdown of this event.

Youth Bike Rodeo Coordinator

This volunteer is responsible for leading a team of volunteers in the set-up, executing, scoring, and breakdown of the youth bike rodeo.

Youth Bike Rodeo Registration & Rules Team

This volunteer serves as the lead for staffing the Bike Rodeo check-in tent and explaining bike rodeo rules to kids as they join the event.

On-Site Event Registration and Check-in

Details

We are pushing as many people as possible to register online in advance, but this station will serve to register any on-site folks, assign and distribute bibs as needed, update the Google sheets information for starting lists, process payment (contactless), and distribute t-shirts to participants.

Bike Repair & Inspection Team

Details

Inspect bikes and ensure they are race ready (perform minor repairs & adjustments as needed). Also, manage rental of EAKC bikes and helmets to participants.

Volunteer Check-In

Details

Help volunteers find their station/role, distribute their t-shirts, and manage flow of general volunteer support along with EAKC staff.

General Volunteer Support Team

Anything is possible :) We will allocate these volunteers as needed on the day of the event based on the flow of traffic and needs at each station. We appreciate your flexibility and willingness to serve!

Kids Fun Zone Team

Details

This supports the external vendors working with kids and ensures safe usage of the recreational equipment by kids and teens (e.g. bounce house, inflatable slide, life-size connect 4, life-size pong game, etc).

Race Course Marshall Team

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Under the guidance of our Race Director, this team will serve on the race course itself, and they will be responsible for ensuring the safety of participants, by coordinating with the security team (off-duty APD officers) to ensure the course is clear of cars and pedestrians as riders navigate the course and by communicating incidents (crashes, struggling riders, etc.) to the Race Director and EAKC staff as appropriate.
