We will offer race registration at the Expo for both the 2019 (unless it's a sell out) and 2020 Drumstick Dash. Volunteers for this position must feel confident working on computers.
Responsibilities may include:
• Registering participants for the 2019 & 2020 Drumstick Dash on the EnMotive (2019) or RunSignUp (2020) platforms
• Fill out online registration form, take payment, etc.

A Volunteer Leader will be present for any questions or issues. Refer to Frequently Asked Questions sheet for any questions.

Goody Bags will look at little different this year. To help conserve on the paper waste that we could have we are limiting our inserts this year. This will hopefully allow for a more streamlined and simple process as well.
Responsibilities may include:
• Ensure each Goody Bag table has all of the needed supplies, refill when items are low, exchange empty tote for full tote of goody bags, etc
• Box/Trash Patrol: Break down empty boxes, collect trash from tables/floors, and help keep the space clean!
• Stuffing bags with handouts and promotional items for Wheeler and other partner organization into bags.

Details

There are 50 Course Fun Patrol spots along the Drumstick Dash course and volunteers (1-5 people per location) are needed to stand, cheer on participants and possibly direct traffic.
** Large groups are welcome, but be mindful that only 5 people per Fun Patrol spot along the course **

Responsibilities may include:
• Bring signs, a boom box, dress up in holiday attire, etc. to cheer on participants (A limited amount of poster board and markers, stickers, etc. will be available at Broad Ripple UMC to make signs).
• Cheer on participants as they run/walk by.
• Encourage them to use the selfie stations along the course.
• Perfect serving opportunity for friends, families and groups!

The Drumstick Dash will have a booth at the Indianapolis Monumental Marathon Expo again this year and we need enthusiastic volunteers to help us promote the Drumstick Dash and get people registered!
Responsibilities may include:
• Greeting participants as they come through the expo
• Sign up participants for the 2019 Drumstick Dash
• Talking about your Drumstick Dash experiences

Prep Positions for Drumstick Dash

Dash Prep: Shirt Mailing + Prep

You must be 16 or older to volunteer for this task.

This year we have given the opportunity for our participants in the Drumstick Dash to have their shirts and packets mailed to them instead of picking them up at the Expo.
Responsibilities may include:
• Stuffing mailers with the corresponding shirt
• Sealing envelopes
• Must have a high attention to detail **

* We have this shift scheduled for 4 hours but there is a potential we may be done sooner *
