Details

Course Marshals (age 16+)– You will be given a location on the course and will help direct participants on the course, help keep vehicle traffic flow at bay while participants are on course and watch for any emergencies. Time is from 7:30am to at the latest 10am. This is OUTSIDE so please dress accordingly.

You will receive an email the week of the race with your location and directions for the course

Water Stop Medium Priority

Details

Water Stop – handing out water to participants, filling cups, cleaning up. This is OUTDOORS so please dress accordingly. Time would be from 7:15 to at the latest 10am.

Location

End of the driveway located at 4701 Thornbury Dr E, Valparaiso, IN, on the road.

Finish Line Medium Priority

This volunteer task is full.

Details

Finish line – You will be working at the finish line keeping the participants moving after they finish, handing out participation medals, watching for any emergencies. Time will be from 7:30am to 10am at the latest. This is OUTSIDE so please dress accordingly.

At the pavilion located at the Valparaiso Family YMCA, 1201 Cumberland Crossing Drive, Valparaiso, IN

Clean Up after the race Medium Priority

April 6, 2024

Details

Clean up – Be here around 8:45am to help start the clean-up process of taking down fencing, signs, garbage, finish line, gym, etc. This is OUTDOORS so please dress appropriately. Should be done no later than 10am, maybe sooner.

At the pavilion located at the Valparaiso Family YMCA, 1201 Cumberland Crossing Drive, Valparaiso, IN and in the gym of the YMCA.

Child Care Low Priority

Details

Childcare – Helping in our childcare area by watching the children of the participants. YMCA staff will also be present so they will be helping them. This is INDOORS. Time is from 7am to 10am

Greeter/Check in/Food/Packet Pickup Medium Priority

April 6, 2024

Details

Arrive at 7 am to help greet the runners, help with check in, packet pickup, and replenishing the food area. This is indoors and the time is from 7 am - 10 am.
