Details

Stand where assigned and direct runners to keep them on the race course. Cheer and encourage runners! Return signs, flags, vest, cones, and other race materials after the last runner passes you in the second (Fellas) race.

Water Table Staff High Priority

Details

Two-three volunteers will fill water cups and pass out cups to runners at the mid-point in the race, for both races. Arrive in time to carry water table, water and cups to the race mid-point. Enthusiastic cheering for runners is needed from water table volunteers!

Set Up High Priority

You must be 18-99 years old to volunteer for this task.

Details

Arrive early to help set up directional signage along the course, timing equipment, and tables/canopies for refreshments & prizes. If available to help collect equipment from the PGRC storage unit, please indicate in your volunteer response.

Refreshment Table Staffing Medium Priority

Details

Pass out refreshments to runners as they finish the race, both races. Runners may also need a snack before their races. Maintain order and keep the refreshment table clean, direct runners on where to dispose of trash.

Race Bib Hand-out - Registration Table High Priority

Details

Give runners their running bibs/packets, checking their names against the registration list. Each runner should receive safety pins with their bib. Please bring your own folding chair

Lead Course Marshal High Priority

Details

Direct all course marshals on where to stand and how to guide runners through the 5K course. Collect all signs, flags, vests, cones and other materials from course marshals after the race.

Sweeper Medium Priority

August 11, 2024

Details

Follow the last runner in each race (Women's Distance and Fella's 5k) to ensure all runners safely exit the course. One Sweeper needed for each race: women's and men's.

Clean Up Medium Priority

August 11, 2024

Details

Remain until the Fellas 5K is completed (2nd race, to end after 9:30 am). Assist in packing up all race equipment, collecting and organizing the race course materials, stowing canopies and timing equipment. Inspect the course and grounds at the start and finish lines for trash - collect all waste and dispose properly. Please note whether you are able to help drive PGRC equipment back to the storage unit after the race.
