Our most important role. Volunteers will meet be timing our event with Pickle Event. You will meet directly with Brad Pickle at the timing van parked near the finish line and Brad will be teaching you your role and teaching you your direct task. Please be on time and prepared to be adaptable.

This will consist of handing out race packets to racers. Racers and packets will be organized by last name. We will also have a fuel/swag table to work as well and need on volunteer to body mark racers picking up packets.

Details

We have 2 designated parking areas and will station a volunteer at each lot to direct and organize racers and guests. In addition we need 2 volunteers station at key location to direct traffic to the designated parking and keep them clear of the race course.

Location

Please park at the Brophy Park Pavilion, this will allow you to leave while the race is still going on once your shift is done.

Kids Event

This will be a very quick and minimal task. We need volunteers on the trail to tell kids when to turn around and head back to the main area. The kids race will be complete in 45 minutes and volunteers will be free to go.

Swim/Paddle Course High Priority

Details

Most of the swim/paddle course volunteers we need stationed in the water in a watercraft. Volunteers need to be prepared to assist racers in need or in stress. We will provide additional information prior to race.

Location

Meet on the beach and volunteers for this task can park on the north side of the Brophy Beach main parking lot. (not in the transition area, other side of the same lot)

Bike Course Marshall Medium Priority

Details

Volunteers will be stationed at bike course turns and be directing bikers on the direction of travel. A simple stick or pole is useful to bring to point in the direction participants should head.

Location

Volunteers will be contacted prior to race and directed to a corner. No need to come to the race you may go straight to your station, park, and leave once the last racer has passed your turn.

Run Course Water Stations (2) Medium Priority

Details

These volunteers will be stationed at our 2 water tables. Water tables, cups, and garbage bags will be on site. Volunteers can head right to the table and will be handing water cups to runners coming by.

Volunteers will be contacted with which table they are working and where it is located. There is parking near both tables.
