Course Monitor

You must be 16 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Our greatest need for volunteers is the course monitor. The course monitor volunteer's job is to keep the runners on the correct course by directing them where to turn at your corner. They also keep an eye on cars to keep cars from turning onto the race course.
You'll be provided with a safety vest, a complimentary Memorial Day Run shirt, and a bell to cheer on runners.
Bring water, coffee, chairs, umbrellas, jackets, etc. to keep comfortable during your time on the course. Our volunteer coordinator (Eric Karch) will get in touch once you register to answer any questions.

Traffic Cone Placement - Delmar

Details

Prior to the start, place cones on centerline of Delmar from Big Bend to Midland. After the last 5k starter passes Big Bend, move the cones to the mid line of the westbound lanes to provide a runner's lane between the north curb and the cones. Stack cones on curb after last runner.

Course Water Station

Details

There are multiple water stations on the race course where runners can grab a cup of water to stay hydrated. Water Station volunteers help set them up and keep plenty of cups filled. You'll be provided with a safety vest, a complimentary Memorial Day Run shirt, and a bell to cheer on runners.
