Volunteer Information for Just for the Helena of It 2024!

Greetings!

It takes more than 120 volunteers each year to ensure the safety and success of all who participate in Just for the Helena of It. We are grateful for your willingness to be an integral part of this event and share your time and energy with us.

Each volunteer will receive a volunteer race shirt (if registered before Oct. 1st), 1 free beverage at the finish line, safety equipment if necessary, detailed instructions and training opportunities, and our sincere appreciation for sharing your valuable time with us.

IMPORTANT THINGS TO REMEMBER

•Course guards need to be at least 18 years old.
•Families can bring their children, but they must stay on the sidewalk. They can't stop traffic.
•Volunteer times are an estimate. You will be released from your post by the course sweeper.
•Specific instructional emails will be sent out to each volunteer with detailed descriptions of their task.
•Some positions are password protected - if you are interested in volunteering for one of those positions please contact the race directors via email at info@runhelena.com.

All positions are for Sunday Oct. 20th unless designated otherwise!

Water stations will be responsible for handing water to runners as they pass by. The water stations #1,#2,#3,#4 will be competing in our annual water station competition. Each water station will be tasked with coming up with a theme and decorating their station and themselves accordingly. Creativity, music, and enthusiasm are encouraged! Bring the fun! Runners will vote at the finish line for their favorite water station, the winner will receive a prize.
