Volunteers should be physically able to lift and carry tents, tables, chairs, and approx. 25-50lbs.

Details

Volunteers will assist with handing out race bibs and shirts. Training on site. All details will be emailed the week of the Sarcoma Stomp.

Shift 1-3:00p: Will help with set up for packet pick up and organization of team shirts.
Shift 3-6:00p: Will help man the packet pickup table checking people in and giving them Shirt, Bib and any other race items!

Course Cheering/Monitoring High Priority

Details

Volunteers will wear a reflective vest and cheer for 3K Walkers and 5K Runners at a spot along the course, ensuring that they remain on the designated race course.

All volunteers are encouraged to enjoy the food, drink, and activities at our event site after volunteering.

You will receive an email with all of the parking and check in details the week of the Sarcoma Stomp.

Location

The volunteer parking lot is located on Mammoth Oaks Drive.

Go to the Volunteer Check-In tent on Mammoth Oaks Drive at 7am. Course Monitors will receive their shirts, name tags, flags and instructions by Start2Finish Event Management staff prior to heading to their location. All volunteers must be in place by 7:30AM.

Course monitor volunteers should finish approximately between 8:15 - 9:00AM depending on which location they are stationed.

Please be prepared to walk up to 1.5 miles to AND from your assigned location.


The Sarcoma Stomp festival site is at Christ Lutheran Church, 4519 Providence Road, Charlotte.

Water Station High Priority

Water jugs and cups will be located at the water station.
Volunteers will fill cups for walkers and runners.

All volunteers receive a special event shirt, and are encouraged to enjoy the food, drink, and activities at our event site before and after volunteering.

Further details will be emailed the week of the Sarcoma Stomp.

Location

Volunteer parking lot is located on Mammoth Oaks Drive.

Go to the Volunteer Check-In tent on Mammoth Oaks Drive and receive your event shirt and name tag. A Start2Finish Event Management staff will orient you with a course map and directions to the water stop, and then send you onto the course. The water station will be located midway on 5K course. Head to the water stop and text the volunteer coordinator upon arrival. Volunteers will walk to their assigned location, so please be prepared to walk 1.5 miles to AND from this water stop location.

Finish Line Banana/ Water Setup & Server High Priority

Separate bananas and put on table. Put donated food and drink on table. Pour, replenish, and serve water cups as participants return from the race course.
