Athlete Food Tent

Details

Assist DelMo Staff with prepping the food tent. Includes: cutting bagels, mixing lemonade, organizing utensils, collecting tear stubs from race bib as they enter, trash removal etc. This job requires high mobility as well as dexterity.

Details

Assist the DelMo staff with the registration process. To include various tasks (but not limited to): checking ID, handing out race packets and shirts. Must be comfortable using iPads to check athletes in.

Clean Up / Break Down of Race

Finish Line Support

You must be 7 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Give triathletes their medals and provide needed support/water at the Finish Line. Help direct the athletes to bag collection. Keep Finish Line area free and clear of spectators. May also provide timing support. Help with breakdown at the end of the event.

Motos

You must be 30 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Motorcycles (Motos) are used during an event for a number of purposes; carrying race officials, video & still photographers, and related roles. You must own your own motorcycle. Since most motos will be carrying passengers, volunteers should be comfortable in that role and their motorcycles should be comfortable for a passenger. Favorable bikes: touring and sport touring road bikes. Unfavorable choices: sport and off-road bikes. Some motos will be carrying race officials who patrol the course looking for rule infractions. Motos carrying video cameramen should be experienced, as the cameraman often stands or sits backwards. Still photographers often need to dismount and shoot quickly. All motos are required to have a current registration, insurance and license.

Swim In / Swim Out Assistance

Hold Swim Pace signs, help athletes store glasses / or other items on table, and also guide & assist athletes into and out of the water; need to be okay with getting wet! Assist staff with breakdown once last swimmer has cleared.
