Course Bike Riders High Priority

You must be 21-100 years old to volunteer for this task.

Details

Course Bike Riders will:
Bike number one will ride in front of the lead runner through course and bike #2 will ride throughout the course to assist runners and inform race director of any on-course issues. Other bike riders will ride through the course to report on any issues and help coordinate course director with on-course issues.

Multiple. Must report back to building once course is clear of runners.

Course Leaders High Priority

Details

Course leaders will:
- Guide runners on course and inform the race director or course director of any issues on the course. Must be vaccinated.
- Supply runners with bottled water as needed.
- Must pick up litter left by runners

Location

Must report by text or in person prior to the race time at 7:45am and report closing by text after 9 am. Course directors must remain in place for the duration of the race 8 am to 9:15 am.

Packet distribution (Sept 14-17) High Priority

You must be 18-100 years old to volunteer for this task.

Details

Distribute and record packet pick up for race. Packets not picked up by Thursday will receive a phone call to arrange friday pick-up. Must be vaccinated.

Location

At the JSAC in front of the Main Office (West side of the North Parking area) from 5pm to 7pm.

Packet Setup High Priority

Details

Packet Setup will create
Run packets that will include run tag, run shirt, JSAC program and event information, sponsor information, donation envelope for future donation, brochure about the JSAC organization and volunteer sign-up for future events

JSAC North Parking Area from 5pm to 7pm

Setup/Breakdown Crew High Priority

Details

Setup/Breakdown Crew will:
- Set up and break down tables, tents, water bottle distribution on the race course, soundboard and mic, speakers and other race related items according to the established event layout.
- If short handed, help with road sign collection after the race completes.
- Will close and re-open North Parking area

Water / Food Crew Medium Priority

Details

Water / Food Crew will:
- Set up bottled water area at finish line on Lawrence Ave. - needs to be able to lift up to 20 lbs. and fully vaccinated.
- Stack bottled waters along the building
- Pass out packaged granola bars if requested
- Pass out disposable masks / pick up discarded masks at finish area
- Clean up empty discarded bottles
- Alert staff or emergency workers of any issues (emergency)

Building Monitor / Bathroom Attendant High Priority

You must be 18-100 years old to volunteer for this task.

Building Monitor / Bathroom Attendant
Two people will:
- Monitoring the downstairs area ensuring activity is restricted to main lobby only and that activity is with keeping with the proper conduct and manner for the building.
- Bathroom clean and sanitize/keep paper and soap stocked.

Honor Ribbon production High Priority

You must be 12-100 years old to volunteer for this task.

At least 6 more volunteers needed.

Details

Create/produce the Honor Ribbons for the event. Need 300 ribbons by September 7.

Road Sign Setup/Breakdown High Priority

Details

Set up directional arrows on race course to help direct runners on race course.
