Details

Assist with taking down signs/banners post-race and gathering tee-stakes. Signs are located on Cherry Lane from Northfield Avenue to the end of the Reservoir, around the Reservoir, in Start Village, and at McLoone's. All signs should be returned to the supplies tent (tent with four walls) in Start Village. Banners and larger signs on Cherry Lane should be rolled up and returned to the supplies tent. Garbage should be collected and brought to the dumpsters at the end of the Oakdale parking lot (paved lot next to Start Village).

Serve as runner to Tri-State Racing Company in pre-race preparation, posting race results and other needed tasks. Check in with Ross Mistretta or other members from TriState Racing who are stationed at the scoring table near Start/Finish line for particular tasks.

Details

Put linens on tables, set-up and replenish snacks and water bottles for all participants and spectators. Clean up any trash throughout the morning (full trash bags can be discarded at dumpster at end of Oakdale lot). During race, make sure food and drink are replenished. Post-race, pack up any leftover items and bring to supplies tent, breakdown tables and discard trash in dumpster.

Details

Set up welcome table (inside zoo entrance) and tent. Staff table, assist with the taking of photos, wiping down of props, registering children who want to participate in FIT event, handing out passports for registered children to participate in Fit With Animals event, handing out medals to children who show completed passports. There is no charge to participate for those 11 and under but they must register to participate (register under Walk). Upon conclusion of event, break down tent and box up materials.

Serve as a point of reference for all volunteers, review the overall assignment with them, direct them to the designated reporting location, and be available to answer any questions. All volunteers will receive vests to wear, indicating they are Event Staff. Please distribute and ask for vests to be returned to the tent upon completion of the assignment. Inventory vests at the conclusion of the event.
