Details

Volunteers will help unload the trailer and set up the staging area. This will likely include: tables, chairs, signage, course map, GVH pop-up tent, snacks and water, finish chute. Will coordinate with Robinhood Racing to help with the registration area.

Details

One volunteer will stay around the area of the hill / mile 1 split. They will call out the first mile split and make sure runners stay on course. Two volunteers will head to the woods to make sure that all runners stay on course.

Details

There will be an aid station around the 1.5 mile mark at the grass triangle formed by the fork in Reservoir Road. At the start of the race, the aid station volunteer will make sure that a cooler of ice and water makes it to the aid station, hand out water to those who need it, and then return with the cooler once the last runner passes the station.

Details

Timer will use the Time Machine to hand time the race. This includes starting the machine at the start of the race and entering bib numbers each time a runner finishes. Training will be provided. Time machine and print out should be handed to the Race Director at the conclusion of the race.

Details

Volunteer will pull off finishers tags and thread it onto the collection wire. Tags should be placed upside down and must be kept in order. Volunteer will note the age group sticker on the finisher’s bibs to identify the overall male, overall female, and top three in each age group. Will use the provided board to hand out tokens to each of these finishers. Will direct these awardees to the award table. Collection wire should be handed to the Race Director at the conclusion of the race.

Volunteer will take tokens and help guide awardees through the merchandise awards. All tokens should be collected and handed to the Race Director at the conclusion of the race.

Volunteer will lead the three kid’s races to make sure that kid’s don’t get off course.

Details

One volunteer will be in the finish chute for the three kid’s races to hand out finisher ribbons and popsicles. Volunteer will make sure ribbons are popsicles are at the finish before the start of the races (they may be buried in some bin).
