You'll be assigned a specific spot out on the course where you can direct athletes, make sure no one goes off course, respond to any safety concerns, and cheer the kids on and make sure everyone has a positive race experience!

Leaders & sweepers will ride or run the course with
the first or last athlete, notify volunteers when clean-up can begin, etc.

Finish Chute Volunteers

Details

Finish Chute volunteers will: assist timer with
collection of timing chips, pass out water to finishers, direct athletes to their parents and post-race food, and give out LOTS OF HIGH FIVES!

First Aid/Medical Tent

Details

First Aid/Medical tent staff will tend to any first-aid
issues that arise with athletes, volunteers, or
spectators under the supervision of the Medical
Director. A volunteer for this position must have
some kind of background in first aid or medicine.

Lifeguard

MUST have valid lifeguard certification.

Post-Race Breakdown Crew

Details

Assist with break down to transition area, finish line, signage, trash pick up, equipment packing, etc. to ensure that the camp is left in pristine condition and all equipment is properly packed and/or put away.

Direct and cheer on the athletes out on the run
course! Consider yourself a "directional cheerleader."

Swim Start Marshal

Details

Swim start marshals will assist with corralling athletes into the correct areas for the swim start, assist the timers and race staff with organizing the start, etc.

Beach Area -- Located on the right at the main entrance.

Transition Area

Details

Help athletes find their spot, ensure safety (strapped helmets, etc.), direct athletes in right direction from swim to bike and bike to run. Transition area is often very stressful for first-time triathletes so you can make sure the experience is stress-free and positive!

Water Station

Details

Water Station staff will pass out water at the water
station located on the course. This is a fun spot to
cheer on athletes, play music, have fun!
