Assist swimmers in & out of the pool during Thursday afternoon session.
Qualifications: Have physical ability to assist in transfers from pool to deck, and deck to wheelchair + must be able to get wet. May be asked to be in the water or on the deck. Bring a change of clothes if you want to change afterwards.

Traffic Safety Management - Thursday morning High Priority

You must be 18-65 years old to volunteer for this task.

Volunteers needed: 6
Assist with general Traffic safety while running & cycling sessions take place.
Qualifications: Be able to stand and be mobile for about 90 minutes; will have a station assigned to you; speak and point direction to athletes; be watchful of motor traffic; potentially act as crossing guard at entrance/exits. Return vests & flags after task is complete.

Be instructed in the proper ways to move athletes to & from the water. Be prepared to position yourself knee deep into the lake. Also transferring those who need help from hand cycle to race chair in the transition zone. The Saturday afternoonTRANSITION simulation practice session is a rehearsal for what should take place Sunday morning. We are most hopeful that the same HANDLERS who practiced on Saturday will be available to execute their role on Sunday morning.
Qualifications: Have physical ability to assist in transfers into the lake, and out of the lake + be a very confident of your strength to lift and carry athletes;
