Need 2 volunteers, 1 each for a 2-5-hour time slot.

Be available to assist runners with minor complaints like icing and band aids. Assist the EMT(s) on site, if needed.

This is a non-running position.
Volunteers check in with the Volunteer Coordinator before reporting to your task.

One coordinator will be given a sheet with all the team bib numbers on it. As a runner approaches, the coordinator should call out the Bib Number so their waiting teammate can hear it and then put a check next to that bib on the sheet.
The other coordinator should be responsible for keeping Relay Zone open and making sure runners who are waiting stand off the trail until their teammate is approaching with the baton

Direct runners on the correct path during the race.

Location

Hardberger Park (2 CMs) 1 CM to make sure runners continue on Salado Creek Trail into Hardberger Park and NOT go down Volker Lane. 1 CM to make sure runners stay on correct trail once inside Hardberger Park (Needed from 8:30am-10:30am)

McAllister Park (1-2 CMs) when runners exit McAllister Park under Wurzbach Parkway make sure runners continue down Salado Creek trail to do the turnaround before heading towards Hardberger Park. (Needed from 9:30am-11:30am.)

Course Marshal located nearly Oakwell Trailhead at the turnaround. You will be directing runners to turnaround and head back to LBJ park. Parking will be available near Oakwell Trailhead at 150 Ira Lee Rd, San Antonio, TX 78218. Needed from 9:00am-11:30am

You will keep an eye on recyclables and change bags as needed. You will also help make sure that the recycle able aren’t contaminated or mixed in with landfill trash. We take recycle offsite and a member of sustainability committee will coordinate the effort.

We supply gloves, bags, and trash grabbers.
