Cupcake Fun Run

Cupcake is a fun run that was established in 2010 as a birthday celebration, and has turned into a community event. In subsequent years we have raised funds for the foodbank and/or local families who have been hit with hard times. Each year the committee who organizes the event chooses a focus and donates the proceeds to the family or group that needs the funds. This year's funds will go to help pay for eye surgery for a girl who was adopted by a family in Marysvile. This little girl lives in Senegal and her adopted American family is helping to put her through school. The cost of the surgery is beyond the scope of the project. In addition, the little girl has a sister with the same need. Our goal is to raise the $1400 for surgery for both girls so that they can continue in their schooling in Senegal.
