Leavenworth Fightfighter Challenge

Every year thousands of Fire Fighters protect communities from wildland fires. We are dedicated individuals working together to defend life and property from fire's potential devastation. Variable rugged terrain and dangerous conditions require knowledge, strength and cooperation.
The Leavenworth Fire Fighter Challenge serves as an opportunity for Fire Fighters to connect with our Brothers and Sisters that have the same passions in a more relaxed environment. Throw in a little friendly competition between the Pavement Queens and the Ditch Diggers and bring the families to laugh and cheer us on and let the FUN begin.The Leavenworth Firefighter Challenge supports the efforts of Firefighters to protect and educate our local community and helps support the families of Firefighters who have lost their lives in the line of duty.New for 2018 we've added a trail run that is open to the public so now friends, families, and anyone else can join in the fun (just without the Wildland PPE).Climbing 1,665 vertical feet over 6.2 miles (10k) of rugged National Forest terrain the Leavenworth Firefighter Challenge will test the physical and mental endurance of the toughest competitors. The Challenge gives everyone the opportunity to test themselves and for Wildland agencies and Structural departments to compete and see who is the toughest.
The Leavenworth Firefigher Challenge is put on by Chelan County Fire District #3 Volunteer Firefigher Association. Fire District 3 is a combination Fire Department dedicated to protecting the city of Leavenworth, WA and the surrounding areas.
