Description

As you know, our Airmen make extreme sacrifices to protect our families and our homeland. We guard America’s skies 24 hours a day, provide communications and combat support for our troops overseas, and are trained and ready to respond, when disaster strikes near home. Every day, our men disregard their own safety for the safety of others. Since the early 1900s, we have been nobly serving this community, from rescuing citizens during the eruption of Mt. St. Helens in 1980, to deploying hundreds of guardsmen to provide vital support, fighting fires and saving homes and lives, during the devastating forest fires in our state last year. You may not think of us every day, but every day our mission is to ensure your safety.
On March 6th, 2021, we will be hosting an Awards Ceremony to recognize our most talented and dedicated Airmen and the accomplishments they have achieved. During varied missions, individual Airmen rise to the occasion to facilitate our success as a part of the United States military team. We take pride in these Airmen and realize the importance of their recognition.
We request your partnership and support, as this event is not government funded and is only made possible by volunteers and through our fundraising activities and ticket sales. Donations for awards, by our local citizens and business partners help make this event possible.
This event is organized by the Western Air Defense Sector (WADS), 194th Regional Support Wing (RSW), and the 141st Air Refueling Wing (ARW). Located on Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WADS guards America’s skies, 24 hours a day, ensuring air sovereignty of over two-thirds of the continental United States. Located on Camp Murray, the 194th RSW has a multitude of elite and distinctive career fields and provides a diverse array of transformational capabilities that are critical to fighting and winning in overseas contingency operations. The 141st ARW is located on Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane. Members serve in locations around the globe and safeguard lives and property during state missions.
Would you please consider a financial contribution or in-kind donation to help us honor our service men and women? Your generosity and partnership with us is greatly appreciated.
