This is a fundraiser! 
For many years, the SERE community has not had a proper location to memorialize the SERE Specialists that have passed away in the line of duty. This new memorial is to be placed at the schoolhouse at Fairchild, AFB, WA and will be a very unique tribute for their sacrifice. This virtual run will be the second fundraiser to take place for that cause and we’re honored to host an event to support the cause. All proceeds from the event, as well as any personal tax-deductible contributions, will go to the funding of the new SERE memorial.  

What is a Fit Challenge? 
First, it's a personal physical challenge that will embrace mental as well as physical training. The SERE Fit Challenge lasts 31-Days (entire month of March) and is designed to work every major muscle group in your body—almost daily. The structure of this fitness challenge gives you the opportunity to improve your fitness.

How does it work?
Each week, you'll be provided weekly physical and mental challenges that you need to figure out how to accomplish. Here's what the first week challenges will consist of:
1. Read a book (300 page minimum)
2. Run/Walk/Jog 25 miles
3. Complete 500 Air Squats
4. Complete 600 Crunches
Once registered, you'll have access to your personal results page. This page is where you can log your activities for each challenge. Remember...you don't have to accomplish 500 air squats in one sitting. The results page can tally multiple activities to help you keep track of how many reps you've accomplished. 

Rules of Engagement
It's easy. It's a personal challenge and do all that you can. Just remember:
1. Work to complete all 4 activities in the week and maybe a bonus round or two. 
2. You can only log activities in the week they are assigned.
3. There are three bonus challenges that are active all month. Touch the Sky is a vertical challenge for 10,000' of gain in a month. Pull Yourself Up is 200 pull ups in any given 7-day period. Get Wet is a 2000m swim challenge. You can find and log these bonus challenges at the bottom of the "activity" cell when you log your activities for the week.  

Complete the Challenge, get a digital badge!
Since this is a SERE challenge, each week you'll have the opportunity to unlock badges that represent items in historical escape kits. Should you accomplish all the objectives, you'll also unlock the Badass of the week badge. This badge will showcase a survivor or an individual that greatly demonstrated an aspect of SERE.

What do I get with my registration?
Pricing includes a t-shirt, event swag and domestic shipping costs. International shipping costs will be assessed on a case by case basis and will be extra. We intend to start shipping out shirts and swag mid-March but please be patient as our volunteer work as quickly as possible to make things happen. Please remember this is a fundraiser and your money is going to an awesome cause!
