This is the shortest fatass you'll ever run.
What is a fatass you ask?
A fatass is a free or super cheap, no frills run. You'll find these special runs within many ultra running communities.
The Run Group Mile Challenge is that. An unsanctioned, unofficial, untimed 1 mile challenge. Ya'll can time yourself with your fancy watches. Run as fast as you want, or not. No one cares. There will be no awards and no t-shirts, just bragging rights and maybe a bottle of water.
I've temporarily retired from ultra running and I've found I kinda-sorta like racing the mile distance. Unfortunately, there aren't a ton of opportunities to do this and when there are, it's a mad dash through a sea of children.

We will run in waves depending on who shows up.
This is a run at your own risk social run. No pets, rollerblades or bikes are allowed on the track. Let's be respectful of the school and track and leave it as clean as we left it.
