We invite you to come out for the 23rd Annual Hank Aaron State Trail 5k Run/Walk!
Saturday, August 12, 8:30am
The Hank Aaron State Trail 5K attracts more than 1,500 people of all abilities and ages, each year. Whether you are trying to personal record or want to get out for a lively community stroll, this is a family-friendly annual event with professional timing and a flat and fast course, in the heart of Milwaukee.
The 2023 Run/Walk takes you through beautiful Three Bridges Park crossing the Menomonee River, through restored prairie and provides a dramatic view of American Family Field in the home stretch. This route is steeped in history and located along Milwaukee's former rail and industrial corridor. The transformation of this area over the past 20 years is worth visiting over and over again.
Come out to support the Hank Aaron State Trail and enjoy the beautiful route. Stick around to enjoy the music and food! Arguably, one of Milwaukee's most lively events all summer long, and we want to enjoy it with you!
The restoration of the trail and adjacent areas has provided green space for recreation, wildlife habitat, and improved ecology. Altogether, the Hank Aaron State Trail is a unique destination and undeniable community asset for all to enjoy.

The HAST 5K is a family-friendly community event with runners and walkers of all ages. You don’t have to be a runner to participate – you are most welcome to walk the course and strollers are most welcome! We do ask that strollers cue up at the back of the group. If you are not interested in your time, please choose the “untimed” 5k event.
