Through this virtual experience, you can participate from anywhere in the world. Whether you walk, run, cheer from the couch, or rally your people, you’re helping push research forward and expand hope for better treatments and brighter futures.

Virtual Event Details
There’s no official date, no required route, and no single starting line. Celebrate your way — whenever and wherever it works for you.
No need to submit results. Just show up, make it meaningful, and if you’d like, share a photo in your event T-shirt using #EHE2026 so we can celebrate with you.
However you participate, you’re part of something bigger.

Because the EHE community is spread across the world, a virtual event eliminates the stress and expense of traveling to one in-person event and allows participation wherever you are. Take part in this event individually or organize a local event in your community. However you choose to participate, you are part of a global awareness movement raising critical funds to improve the lives of everyone affected by EHE.
Each registration includes a T-shirt and an EHE sticker sheet, with shipping included.
Yes! We can set up a registration page specifically for your event. It can be a walk, run, or just a gathering for fun. Contact maggiecameron@fightehe.org to get started.
No, this event is not timed, and you are free to complete it any way you are comfortable. You can walk, run, bike, or simply wear the T-shirt to spread EHE awareness. No matter how you do it, have fun. Share your photos and tag @EHEFoundation and use #EHE2026.
Funds raised by the EHE Fun Run and Walk support our mission of advancing research into treatments and a cure for EHE.
The first batch of registration packets will be mailed in early April. Later mailings are TBD.
Yes, and you will save some money too! Registrants who opt out of the T-shirt giveaway save $10 off their registration fee. When prompted for your T-shirt size, you will find the opt-out option.
To ensure that every dollar you give goes to research, we have added the credit card processing fees to the transaction. Every state's taxation rules on registration fees and credit card processing fees vary. We have claimed tax exemptions in the states where we qualify.
Yes! You can choose to fundraise as an individual or a team during registration for the virtual events. Fundraising amplifies your impact!
