This is simply a fun, FREE, mileage challenge we are offering to help kick start your training. 

The concept of our challenge is to run or bike the entire length of the Greenbrier River Trail (78 Miles). And if you are up for it, you can even do the out/back challenge (156 Miles).

These official challenges starts on May 17th and lasts to the end of June 30th. To be included in the leader-board, you must submit all your mileage by June 30th under your RunSignUp Account. You can submit your miles on a daily basis, or, you can do it all at once. Just make sure it is in by the deadline as no mileage will be accepted after June 30th!  

To make this even more fun, we are selling "In Training" shirts that will be for sale for $25. This covers the cost of the shirt and shipping. We will place the order for shirts at the end of the challenge and then ship them once they have printed. Donations will also be accepted for the Greenbrier River Trail Association.

About The Greenbrier River Trail

The Greenbrier River Trail is a 78-mile former railroad now used for hiking, biking and horseback riding. It is the longest trail of its kind in West Virginia. The trail provides many breathtaking views as it passes through several small towns, crosses 35 bridges, goes through two tunnels and cuts through some of West Virginia’s most remote areas. The Greenbrier River Trail is one of 50 Millennium Legacy Trails in the United States, and was rated one of the top 10 hiking trails in the country by Backpacker Magazine. Part of the Greenbrier River Trail lies within a National Radio Quiet Zone so cell phones do not work.
