Good Neighbor Mile

INFO: The 1st Annual “Good Neighbor Mile” will be held prior to the Friday parade of the Good Neighbors Day Festival in Bruceton Mills, WV. Athletes will run a distance of 1 mile (1609 meters) along the festival parade route once the fire horn sounds.  All Proceeds will go to the Bruceton Middle School Cross Country and Track teams.

DATE: Friday, July 14, 2017

 TIME: The race will commence when the fire whistle blows at approximately 7pm!

 COURSE: The “Good Neighbor Mile” will be a fast downhill course beginning at the Antigues shop in Brandonville on Rt. 26. Turning right across the bridge into Bruceton and continuing to make a left onto South Main Street and finishing on the Football Field.

 ATHLETE REQUIREMENTS: The “Good Neighbor Mile” is open to all ages. We ask that you be able to run a mile in 12 minutes or less in order to not interfere with the parade. We don’t want anyone to be passed by a float or marching band.

REGISTRATION: Race day registration will take place from 5:30pm-6:30pm. at the Football field at Bruceton School  Athletes will not be able to register after 6:30 p.m. so that everyone has a chance to get to the start of the race. Entries received by Monday, July 10th will be assured of a t-shirt.

Entry Fees: $10 pre-registered by July 10th, $15 thereafter or on race day! Make checks payable to Bruceton School Cross Country, 402 BB King Road, Bruceton Mills, WV, 26525

AWARDS: Top 3 Males and Females overall will receive medals. All other participants will receive ribbons.
