2019 Kickin' Up Kidney Awareness 5K

This 5K for Kidneys event is a 5K Walk/Run that is fun for the whole family! The race will begin at 9:00am and all participants will receive professional timing, official race bib and t-shirt, as well as a chance to win medals for finishing in the top of each age group.  The kids fun run will begin at 8:30am and feature a special guest and prizes for each participant. 

This event takes place at beautiful Ritter Park in Huntington, WV, a place known for its incredible scenery and trails through a historic housing district featuring a variety of architectural designs.  The course is a measured 3.1 mile out and back course on paved trail, and is among the most popular running/walking trails in the region. 

All proceeds support American Kidney Fund programs and services that help kidney patients in the community, providing access to lifesaving healthcare, treatments - including dialysis and transplantation, medications, and transportation.  The American Kidney Fund is a top 10 rated charity by Charity Navigator and spends 97 cents of every donated dollar on patients and programs.
