THE DOMINION POST 5KICKOFF

The 3.1-mile course will begin on the trail behind The Dominion Post's offices in Sabraton. Participants will then head west on the Deckers Creek Trail toward Hazel Ruby McQuain Park, with a turnaround point mid-way. The race will finish at The Dominion Post.

Registration and packet pickup for the run/walk will be at The Dominion Post parking lot from 5:30-6:45 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8.

The first-place overall male and female runner will receive a gift card to a sporting goods store. First-, second- and third-place awards will be given to the top male and female in the following age categories:

• 14 and under
• 15-19
• 20-24
• 25-29
• 30-34
• 35-39
• 40-44
• 45-49
• 50-54
• 55-59
• 60 and up

T-shirts are guaranteed to every runner and walker who has preregistered by Aug. 25. A limited supply will be available on race day.

Parking will be available at The Dominion Post, DMV parking lot or Marilla Park. There will be raffle prizes after the race, as well as football kickoff party festivities.

Proceeds benefit the Newspaper In Education (NIE) program.
