Description
This is Race #2 of the Kanawha Valley 5K Winter Series.
The event will take place at The Saint Albans High School on January 1, 2020 (Race Starts at 2PM).
Race into the New Year 5K - Pricing
(Shirts must be ordered by December 15 at Midnight)
Sept 7 - Dec 25 = $25
Dec 26 - Dec 30 = $30
Packet Pickup/Race Day = $35
Packet Pickup
We will be hosting a Packet Pickup on Monday, December 30, at The Coal River Coffee Company (64 Olde Main Plaza, St Albans, WV 25177). You may come and pick up your packet anytime between 6-8PM. Any remaining shirts for sale will be $10. Note that Family/Friends are allowed to pick up packets if you cannot attend.
And if you miss the Monday Evening Packet Pickup - pick up/registration starts on race day at 12:30PM (Saint Albans High School). The race starts at 2PM!
Awards - Prediction Run
This year the awards are going to be structured as a prediction run. This means you submit a time to us when you register that you think you will finish the race. Awards will go to the Top Runners who guess closest to their actual finishing time (so anyone can end up being 1st Place).
We also will have Top 3 Male and Top 3 Female Overall (Fastest Times) as well as some age groups (TBD).
Please note that NO technology will be allowed on this race - so no watches, gps devices, etc. This is to make it fair for everyone participating.
If any runner is seen wearing any type of device to keep track of their time they will be disqualified from the awards. Music is allowed but it must be on a device that does not show time, pace, distance, etc.

Race Rules/Policies
1. Please stay within the area at all times. Do not trespass.
2. While running/walking please DO NOT cut across the parking lots. Stay on the course.
3. No littering, vandalizing, or tampering with any of the city amenities
4. Pets are allowed; must be leashed
5. Know the nature of the event and come hydrated/prepared.
6. No team-based (or any) bullying
7. Parking is abundant in the area
8. No refunds or transfers for any reason
9. We do not mail out anything that is not picked up (shirts, packets, awards, medals, etc).
10. No bandits are allowed on the course.

If you do not register for this event/sign the waiver for this event, then you cannot be associated with this event or any parties involved. Any risks and liabilities involving the pets/animals, as well as any other foreseen or unforeseen happenstances, are assumed by the individual.
Event Courtesy Policy
Our events are designed to be fun and for the entire family. With that in mind any competitor, spectator, parent, volunteer, or sponsor, exhibiting unsportsmanlike conduct or interfering with the positive, competitive atmosphere of the event will be asked to leave the venue and course immediately with no refunds.
