Description
Please join us for our inaugural "Wheeling Feeling Run & Walk,” a fun, untimed distance of 3.1 miles starting at Levenson Shelter at Oglebay Park. We are so excited to host this with options to participate virtually or in-person, socially distanced. Both run and walk options are available as we trail through beautiful Oglebay Park with scenic views, socially distanced start times, and the opportunity to support the Junior League of Wheeling! You will start and finish at Oglebay's Levenson Shelter. All participants will receive a T-Shirt and Wheeling Feeling medal.
**PLEASE NOTE: Because this event is being held in person and virtually, it will not be timed. You are welcome to time yourself on your own watch, phone, or other device, however, and submit it on the website afterward. This is a non competitive, fun event.**
We also will hold a socially distanced after event where all participants are invited to enjoy an individually packaged, Oglebay catered lunch with music and a 2-hour open beer and wine bar.
Please use our hashtag #wheelingfeeling5K in all social media posts and photos leading up to the event and during the event!

About the Junior League of Wheeling
The Junior League of Wheeling is a network of empowered female leaders dedicated to promoting voluntarism, improving the community, and developing the potential of women. The Junior League of Wheeling's annual fund is used to directly support our mission by supporting our community partners, placement activities, community outreach efforts, and membership training. Some of this year's activities include:
- Delivering lunches and dinners to frontline grocery store workers at two stores
- Volunteering with the Ohio County FRN at four mobile food pantries
- Participating in Youth Services System's Wheeling SleepOut
- Taking our long-standing Kids in the Kitchen program virtual by providing ingredients, kitchen tools, and recipes to Crittenton Services
- Sponsoring 53 foster children via NYAP's Christmas program to ensure they had gifts and supplies for the holidays
- Collecting Bath and Body Works products for the Marshall County FRN's Teen Christmas Program
- Collecting new and gently used women's clothing for the YWCA's Y-Not Repeat Boutique
- Collecting canned goods for Catholic Charities
- Collecting diapers and wipes for Gabriel Project
- Additionally, the Junior League of Wheeling has partnered with Ohio County Schools' and Steenrod Elementary's Backpack Program, which provides weekend meals and snacks to students who are experiencing food insecurity. The League was also the recipient of a Frank A. O'Neil Family Foundation Grant, which was used to provide cleaning supplies to 20 Steenrod Elementary students and their families.
Since 1940, The Junior League of Wheeling has been committed to supporting community partners and providing leadership and training opportunities for its members. Your participation in The Junior League of Wheeling's "Wheeling Feeling Run & Walk" will provide the financial support needed to continue these rich traditions and empower new generations of female leaders.

- Parking may be offsite for an event. We recommend you bring a backpack to carry your personal belongings. Junior League of Wheeling is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
- Please be on time and arrive no later than 10 minutes before the close of registration.
- This is a fun 5K! You will be responsible for timing your own race/walk if you wish to, and you can submit your time on the website after you’ve finished. This allows everyone from the competitive runner to the casual walker to enjoy the experience and support a great cause. This applies to all participants - virtual and in person.
