A NOTE FROM JESSICA SHEPHERD, Eagle OPS Co-Founder and Honor Mile Coordinator:

Dear families,

Warm greetings to all of you! As we approach the upcoming Welcome Home 5K event, I am humbled and honored to announce that this year marks my fifth year leading Operation: Honor Mile. This role has been a profound and rewarding experience, holding a special place in my heart. Working within our veteran community and ensuring that our fallen heroes are forever remembered is not just a duty for me; it is a true passion.

Throughout this journey, I have witnessed the many layers of grief that encompass our collective experience. However, one sentiment remains unwavering: the desire to preserve the memory of your loved ones. It has been a blessing to discover the remarkable stories and details about your heroes. Beyond their faces, names, and military service, I have caught glimpses of who they were as individuals and the things they held dear. For that, I am sincerely grateful.

In the additional information section provided at the bottom of the form, please feel free to share anything you deem important. This space is yours to share service-related information, cherished memories, or even leave it blank if you so choose. I want you to know that in the past, I have read each and every submission, holding them close to my heart as I see the faces of those we honor at the Welcome Home 5K. It is a profound honor for me to learn more about the men and women whose legacy we celebrate.

Your support and participation mean the world to us, and it is our commitment to ensure that our fallen heroes are never forgotten. They will always be a cherished part of our extended family.

With sincere gratitude and utmost respect,

Jessica Shepherd Founding Partner, Eagle OPS
