When and where does the race take place?
The Wop's Hops Brewing Co Jim Payne 5k benefiting Kids House will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2021. On-site race registration and late packet pick-up opens at 6:15 am at Wop's Hops Brewing Co. Race start time is promptly at 7:30 am following the National Anthem. The race is a 5K and it will take your through downtown Sanford and beautiful stretch along Lake Monroe!
Is Parking Free for the event?
Yes, parking is free! Please plan to arrive a little early to allow time to park and walk to the Start/Finish are at Wop's Hops. There is plenty of parking in downtown Sanford near Fort Mellon Park. Parking information and icons can be found on the 5k course map.
How long is the course?
This course is a 5k distance which is also 3.1 miles.
Is there a race capacity for the 5K event?
Yes, each race does have an event capacity for this year. The capacity is set at 500 registered participants.
Is this race electronically scored?
Yes, this race is electronically scored with a timing chip located on the back of your bib number. For best reads and results, we ask all participants to wear their bib number on the front of their shirt or shorts.
When and where do I pick up my registration materials?
Early race bib & t-shirt pickup location/time will be held on Friday, May 28th from 4PM - 7PM at Wop's Hops Brewing Co. (419 Sanford Ave, Sanford, FL 32771). If you are not able to make it to the early bib & t-shirt pickup, you may get your race items on race day at Wop's Hops Brewing Co. beginning at 6:15AM Please follow signs directing you to Wop's Hops Brewing Co. located on Sanford Ave between 4th and 5th Street. Friends and family members can pick up your race items!
How will I receive my results?
This race will be electronically scored and results will be posted to the event site during the event and to the Strider Events website post event for the Full / Final Official Results. Result link is here!
Who receives an Adult Unisex T-shirt?
All participants that successfully complete their online race registration for the 5K event and payment prior to May 15, 2021 are guaranteed their race t-shirt requested size. Participants who register after May 15th, will receive a race t-shirt but sizes are not guaranteed at this time. The t-shirt for this year is a unisex cotton tee.
Can I participate in the event with my pets?
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed to participate in this event.
Can I participate with a baby jogger or stroller?
Yes, nurturing future generations of runners is a priority and demonstrating healthy lifestyles to our kids is special. We do ask those registrants participating with a baby jogger or stroller, must line up the after the runners & walkers at the start line. Please listen for directions on where to line up at on the day of the race. Only PAID registrants will receive a finisher medal. If you would like your child to receive the custom finisher medal, you will have to pay & register your child for the 5K event
What do I do with my personal items while I’m running?
We highly recommend that you leave all your personal items at home or in your car.
Should I bring my own water?
You may bring your own water. We will offer one water station available on the course at approximately the 1.5 mile point (at the turn around point). There will also be water available at the start/finish line area both pre & post event. All water offered will be sealed bottles of water.

How much does the race registration cost for the 5K if I am 13 years or older?
Now through May 28th; $35 per person (We have extended the early pricing through 7pm!)
Race Day - $40 per person
How much does the race registration cost for the 5K if I am 12 & Under?
Now through May 28, 2021 - $20
Race Day - $25
I will be out of town on race day and not able to participate. Can I get a refund?
We appreciate your race registration. Unfortunately, we are unable to issue refunds.
Can I transfer my entry to someone else?
We have a no race transfer policy.
Will the race be held if it's raining?
The race is a "rain or shine" event. All participants are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather, such as in a rain coat or hat. Umbrellas can pose a safety hazard to others. We ask that you refrain from bringing them to the event.
Where do I park?
Parking is available in downtown Sanford parking lots and parking areas near Fort Mellon Park. The start and finish are located at Wop's Hops which is on Sanford Ave between 4th and 5th Street (419 Sanford Ave, Sanford, FL).
What is the "SignUp" Fee?
The "SignUp fee" is a fee that is charged by RunSignUp to process your race registrations. The sign up fee is based on by the total amount of transactions at the time of check out not by runner.
Do I have to register online?
Yes, online registration is the only way to register for this event.
