What if I don't want to complete a 5K?
This event is your race, your pace, your journey- your any k any way. You choose whether to walk, run, bike, swim, hike, skateboard, rollerblade, or a mix of multiple ways! You can participate in your activity for any distance or length of time. You can challenge yourself or others or make it a leisurely activity. This event is over the course of two weeks; you don’t have to do your whole event in one, two, or even three days. Spread it out however it works best for you. It is completely customizable to your life, what you can do mentally, and what you can do physically. 
I see where it mentions a memorial bib. Do I have to participate in memory of someone?
We offer the memorial bib as an option, but it is not required. You are welcome to participate in memory of someone, or simply as someone who supports Journey of Hope and what we do for our community.
What is my peer-to-peer fundraising page and what do I do with it?
This is your opportunity to share your reason(s) for participating in this event. Whether you've lost someone close to you, you are a supporter of Journey of Hope, or you're just finding out about Journey and feel passionate about our cause, you can let the public know by describing this on your page. You share your fundraising page with your friends, family, and community to ask them to support you as you are supporting Journey of Hope by participating in this event. You are raising money for Journey of Hope and receiving support from others based on your reason(s) for participating. 
Am I required to peer-to-peer fundraise?
As part of registering, you are automatically given a peer-to-peer fundraising page. This event is a fundraiser and we encourage you to help Journey raise money so we can continue serving children who are grieving a death.
How is the money I raise used?
When you raise money from your peer-to-peer fundraiser, you are raising funds to help expand our program further so we can increase our reach to more children and families. Journey provides its services to children and families free of charge. You are ensuring that there is a spot for the children who will walk through the doors of Journey of Hope next week, month, and year.
What is the scavenger hunt and how does it work?
The gratitude scavenger hunt is designed for all ages and walks of life. As you look for the items on the scavenger hunt list, you can think about how your answers are connected to someone in whose memory you are participating.
