Start Corrals
To give you more room during your race we are implementing three start corrals. Runners are assigned corrals based on their expected finish time input during race registration. This year the Boston Marathon adjusted their corrals to reduce the number of runners starting the race from 200 per minute to 150 per minute.
Based on this standard of 150 per minute we expect to assign the corrals as follows:
Corral A - Start time 7:30 am
Marathon – all expected finishers at 4:02 and below.
Half Marathon – all expected finishers at 2:02 and below.
Relay – all relay team leg 1 in Corral A.
Corral B - Start time 7:35 am
Marathon – all expected finishers from 4:02 – 6:00
Half Marathon – expected finishers between 2:02 and 2:18:00
Corral C - Start time 7:40 am
Half Marathon – all expected finishers above 2:18
There may changes to the finishing time breakdown or the minutes per corral based on actual registration figures. You’ll have the option of switching corrals at race check-in based on any last minute changes to your expected finish time. You'll have a sticker on your bib indicating your corral.
On race morning we'll load Corrals A and B in front of the start area. At 7:30 am when Corral A begins, Corral B will move into their area and Corral C will begin to load. When Corral B starts at 7:35 am Corral C will move into the starting area. This will provide our Corral C friends with a little extra time to use the restrooms and get ready for a great race day! Please show our start line volunteers grace as they help you get into your corral.

Course Cut-off Times
This race features a three corral start at 7:30 am with the other two corrals beginning in 5 minute intervals.
Half marathoners must maintain a minimum pace of 15 minutes per mile.
Full marathoners and relay runners must maintain a minimum pace of 13:44 minutes per mile. All participants must complete the course in six hours or less. At each mile checkpoint, runners who cannot maintain the needed pace will be encouraged to stop, as traffic control and aid stations will not be guaranteed after that time.
While runners will not be forced to stop, any who continue must do so unsupported, at their own risk and on the sidewalk, and will not be permitted to run on the road. "Unsupported" means that police will not be available to stop traffic at intersections, and runners will be responsible for their own safety. Runners must complete the course in six hours or less to receive a finish time and be listed in the race results.
The race will be scored with an electronic timing system. Timing mats will be located at the start/finish area and at other locations along the course. All participants who complete the course within the cutoff time will receive both gun and chip time.
Full marathoners will also receive a 13.1-mile split time.
Minimum Age Requirements
Any participant under the age of 18 must have the waiver signed by a parent. The Race Directors reserve the right to speak with a parent of a participant under 18 years of age and to disallow participation by a minor if we feel the minor is not adequately prepared to participate.
Footwear Rules
All runners are responsible for ensuring that their race-day shoes appear on the official World Athletics List of Approved Athletic Shoes.
Shoes not appearing on the approved list may result in disqualification. Check your shoes in advance using the World Athletics Shoe Checker.or your content.
