Moving Forward for NAMI LV: 10th Annual (VIRTUAL) 5K & Challenges

Now, more than ever, mental illness is affecting so many people.  It may be a time of depression causing overuse of drugs or alcohol to help ease the fear during this time of seclusion caused by the virus.  Or it may be an added trigger to a life-long challenge that someone has been facing.  In either case, that person, and their family, need help and understanding, support and love. But the stigma that goes along with any type of mental illness causes the individual or their family to miss out on valuable, life saving help. Shame, embarrassment, hopelessness, all feed the disease of mental illness and keep it private. It's not as easy as saying to someone "Snap out of it!" I am sending out a distress signal - SOS-"STRIKE" OUT STIGMA to save lives.  Thank you for your support for NAMI LEHIGH VALLEY'S  great efforts in advocating and fighting for help in mental illness awareness and resources.  We need to be in this together!
