Description
For the very first time, we are offering a virtual component of the Skinny Turkey! Just like with our live event, all proceeds will be donated to Second Chance Shelter, a local, non-profit, no-kill dog shelter. Doug and Wanda McGee started Second Chance Shelter in 2008 and they have grown to house and care for over 250 dogs at a time. They have amazing sponsor and foster programs for those who are not interested in adoption.
All participants will be guaranteed a 2022 5th Annual Skinny Turkey race shirt. The first 109 participants will be guaranteed a 2022 5th Annual Skinny Turkey medal.
Race shirts and medals must be picked up in person at the Boaz Recreation Center January 16, 2023 through January 20, 2023. No shipping will be available.

Share Your Results and Photos!
After you register, you can submit your results through the RunSignup page through December 30, 2022. Use your favorite app, Garmin, Strava, other device, or manually enter your distance and time. Walk or run, as long as you get it done! In addition, please post about your run in the Facebook event mentioned below and/or tag it with #SkinnyTurkeyVirtualRun on Insta or Facebook. We want to celebrate what you did on your race day!
