The Skinny Turkey 5K/10K is all about Second Chance Shelter. They are a non-profit, no-kill dog shelter and so much more! They have amazing sponsor and foster programs for those who are not interested in adoption. Doug and Wanda McGee started Second Chance Shelter in 2008 and they have grown to house and care for over 250 dogs at a time. Their passion for animals is not only obvious but infectious.
