Meet Ambassador Stacy Waldridge
I was a 15 year smoker who finally quit in 2014. During my journey of quitting I started walking just for exercise. It felt so good to breath again. Walking everyday eventually turned into running. I then realized that I had overcome the addiction of nicotine & became addicted to endorphins. I quickly came to the realization that there is a better life than smoking & its never too late to quit. One 5k lead to multiple & then onto 10k & then to half marathons. This October I ran my fourth half marathon. I do not run for speed or competition any more. I only run with my heart. I love to run for good causes & for people who can not. I lost my Dad 3 years ago to lung cancer. Every race I run with 3 pearls in my pocket to remember him, breathe, & to climb those mountains as they come. Running a marathon has always intimated & scared me. I will be 46 years old in December & I am ready to climb & tackle that mountain in 2024!
