- 2025 - The 25th Annual race was canceled and rescheduled from January 11th to February 1, 2025 due to icy race course roads and bridges.

- 2023 - Race Day scoring introduced. Results are now be published in realtime to the race website. No more paper results print outs.
- 2022 - Event resumes its regular format but with race new courses.
- 2021 - Event is cancelled due to COVID-19 pandemic.

Interesting Notes:
- 2018 - New Grapevine Softball complex is approved. Construction effects event course, parking and other activies.
- 2017 - Race return with 856 registered participants and 90 volunteers under near perfect weather conditions.
- 2016 - Event is cancelled. Grapevine Lake high water level puts sections of race course underwater.
- 2015 - The Couch to 5K (C25K) training program uses race as part of its training program. Both in 2014, and 2015.
- 2015 - A15K Handcycling event is held in addition to the regular 5K and 15K events.

Interesting Notes:
- 2014 - The 15K Race was designated as a Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) regional area championship.
- 2013 - Participant registration for race begins through RunSignUp.
- 2012 - A record field of 1,100 runners register. A special half-maraton event is subsituted for 15K race.
- 2011 - A near-record breaking race crowd of 825. 300 shoes were recycled as part of the the Nike ReUSE–A-SHOE program.
- 2010 - New IPICO / The Race Director system timing system is introduced for the 458 5K and 364 15K participants

Interesting Notes:
- 2009 - Race tee shirt and finisher fleece beanie replaced the tradtional coffee mug giveaway.
- 2009 - Race photos are taken by "Your Sports Image" from 2009-2017.
- 2009 - A new record of over 679 runners and walkers are bold in the cold. Raceday winds of 26 mph and wind chill of 24 degrees F.
- 2008 - 15K are designated as a Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) Texas State Championship on a newly certified course.
- 2007 - Soaking downpours and 33 degree F temperatures occurred both before the 8:00 AM starting gun and after
the awards ceremony. Heavy rains washed out a portion of the 15K course, so volunteers has to clear the course. - 2006 - A new 15K course utilizes the new paths recently constructed in Oak Grove Park east of the LGRAW clubhouse. 15K runners run east and the 5K runners west from a common startline.
- 2005 - Volunteers stated, "How wonderful it is that we can come together to showcase our trails, our club, and to serve the runners in the community".

Interesting Notes:
- 2004 - A new record of over 355 runners and walkers register.
- 2003 - 48 to be exact, volunteered to help out at this year's event.
- 2002 - A record 243 runners and walkers register.
- 2001 - Hot Chocolate was servered with donuts as race time temperature was 27 degrees F.
- 2000 - Fresh Krispy Kreme donuts awaited all finishers.
- 1999 - 130 particpants braved the cold in inaugural Bold in the Cold 5K & 15K event on January 23, 1999.
