Milk and Cookies 5k

Join us for our inaugural Milk and Cookies 5K. This event will be a great way to spend National Milk Day with the family. We offer 2 distances to choose from, 5k and 2 mile, and a virtual option. The course will take you through the West Hills College Lemoore campus. All finishers will be treated to cookies and milk at the finish line. We want to make this event light-hearted and fun, all while being able to engage the community in a safe and fun family activity!

The proceeds from this event will benefit the West Hills College Lemoore Student Nurses’ Association. Our association aims to mentor students and provide further insight to the nursing profession. We focus on educating community members on healthcare topics such as monitoring blood pressure, maintaining adequate hydration and nutrition, staying active, and preventing the spread of diseases through handwashing and vaccination. We hope to raise funds for the National Convention being hosted in Orlando, Florida this upcoming April 2020. We are eager to send members to this convention, as it allows for our students to explore new opportunities, advocate for smaller nursing programs, interact with fellow nursing students and advisors, all while gaining knowledge that is able to be brought back to our campus and implemented into practice.
