Join Ridgefield Running Company this summer to train for the

Southwest Cafe Margarita 5k OR ANY summer 5k!

*New formats, plans, and times this year!*

If you consider yourself a "running rookie" or "beginner" this program is for you. Meeting on Saturdays, we use a gentle program that gradually increases walk-run intervals. You'll buildup to finish 3.1 miles with a fist in the air and a smile on your face.

 

For just $59, you will receive:

ALL SESSIONS LEAVE FROM RIDGEFIELD RUNNING COMPANY, 423 Main Street.

Sign up for the Running Rookie training program if you have never run before, or there's been a very long time since you've run regularly. Prerequisite: In order to have success with this program, you must be able to walk briskly for one hour, 3 times per week minimum, OR you must be in a regular aerobic exercise program (spin, kickboxing, aerobic classes, etc.) leading up to the start of this program.

Sign up for the Beginner program if you have some running under your belt. By that, we mean that you've completed a 5k in the past 6 months and have been running somewhat regularly leading up to the start of the program...OR you are a fairly regular runner coming back from an injury or illness. Prerequisite: The first week of the program you MUST be able to run at an easy, conversational pace for 2 minutes straight (any pace).

PLEASE NOTE THAT REGISTRATION FOR THE Southwest Cafe Margarita 5k RACE IS SEPARATE. Click here to register for the race. 

DAYS AND TIMES AVAILABLE

  • Most sessions will run approximately 1 hour. Plan to be at the session a couple of minutes early to sign in as we will leave promptly at the scheduled time.
  • No headphones, pets, or strollers allowed for safety reasons.
  • You will receive a copy of the training program in a separate email after signing up.
  • We run in any weather except thunder or ice storms. You will be notified via email if there is a weather cancellation.
