Get ready for race day!

Maine participant schedule 

Early packet pickup November 1st:

  • Webhannet Golf Course - 26 Golf Club Dr, Kennebunk, ME 04043

Early race packet pickup from 2:00 to 4:00pm  - beat the race day rush!

Race day November 2nd:

  • Webhannet Golf Course - 26 Golf Club Dr, Kennebunk, ME 04043
  • Note - daylight savings time change will occur early Sunday morning, this means 10am will feel like 11am

Packet pickup from 9:00 - 10:30am 

Opening remarks from 10:40 - 10:45am

Kids 0.5 & 1k race through the golf course from 10:45 - 11:00am

  • You may run with your child if you want or let them follow the pack, use your judgement 

5k & 10k road race begins at 11:00am at the same time

  • We ask that walkers start towards the back of the group to allow the runners to get through efficiently 
  • We ask that those with strollers keep an eye out for those around them and for everyone to keep an eye out for strollers
  • If you have young children you must accompany them on the course

Post race celebration begins at 11:20am or when the first participant crosses the finish line, whichever is earlier 

  • We have Kit NA beer, Congdon's Doughnuts, water, gatorade, fruits and salty snacks to enjoy while you bask in your accomplishment and enjoy some music
  • Cars will be able to leave the main parking area as necessary at the golf course after the start of the race, please follow volunteer instructions and drive VERY slowly

5k & 10k closing remarks + prizes for fastest 5k & 10k for the men's, women's and nonbinary divisions at 1:00pm or when the last person crosses the finish line, whichever is earlier

  • Anyone still on the course at 1:00pm will be asked to move to the side of the road if they would like to continue or they can take the race van back to the starting line
  • If we have any extra swag left we will raffle it off by bib number at this time

Post race celebration ends at 2:00pm

Volunteer schedule 

8:30-10:30am - registration volunteers arrive and check in participants

10:45am - 1:00pm Route guides go to their positions & guide participants at intersections of the route. You will be notified when the last participant passes you so that you can return to the start/finish or head home

11:15 - 1:00pm - Race medal volunteers hand out medals (and cacti) and direct participants to snacks & drinks

11:15am - 2:00pm - Snack volunteers at their station to provide snacks & drinks to participants

 

Virtual participant instructions

  • Run, walk, or move in a way of your choice on (or near) November 2nd with your race bib on!
    • Past participants have run, walked, roller bladed, danced, hiked and stationary rowed, feel free be creative! (and safe)
  • Do you want to track your participation? You're in luck! Click HERE and press Submit Virtual Results for this Event
    • It is not required, we will assume you participated without it but it's still fun to track it
  • Did your bib not get to you in time? That's ok, you can participate without it. Still want one? You can print this copy out and use it, see below
  • We love seeing pictures of you out and about, feel free to send pictures or short videos of your race to be included in the post-race video to chemoday10k@gmail.com
