The Core Services of the Autism Society of Nebraska are:
Community - The Autism Society of Nebraska’s local support networks are the capstone of our organization. We provide supportive events, resources, and training across the lifespan. We have support networks in Scottsbluff, North Platte, Grand Island, Lincoln, Norfolk & Omaha. In addition, the Autism Society of Nebraska participates in local and statewide collaborative efforts with other agencies to promote inclusive events.
Education - The Autism Society of Nebraska works to educate individuals on the autism spectrum, their loved ones, professionals, and the public about autism to foster awareness, acceptance, and autonomy. At the state level, the Autism Society of Nebraska collaborates with the NE ASD Network at the state autism conference each year. Our organization has conducted safety training for first responders and individuals on the autism spectrum.
Legislative Advocacy - The Autism Society of Nebraska advocacy efforts have improved the lives of those on the autism spectrum and their families. At the national level, the Autism Society of Nebraska meets with our elected officials to promote a legislative agenda to advance the quality of life of all on the autism spectrum and their family members by participating at Autism Society’s Day on the Hill in Washington, DC. At the state level, the Autism Society of Nebraska actively participates in state legislative efforts.
Information & Referral - The Autism Society of Nebraska provides information and referral through our website, 800 number, social media, and local support networks.
