The Official Course Route: Trail-Blazing & High-Energy!

Get ready for a dynamic and scenic race day at the Granite Bay 5 & 10K! This year’s route offers a true tour of the local community, winding through beautiful neighborhoods and utilizing neighborhood-connector trails.

The Neighborhood Launch: Start & Finish Hub The excitement begins and ends at the heart of the Granite Bay High School campus. Both the Start and Finish lines are positioned for maximum visibility, creating a central festival atmosphere for spectators as you blast off and return for your grand finale.

Loop 1: The North Residential & Band Boost Leaving the high school, the course immediately hits the pavement, winding through the suburban streets of northern Granite Bay. You’ll head toward the first Water Station near Cavitt Junior High, where runners get a high-energy boost from the Cavitt Jr. High Band.

Loop 2: The South & West Connector Trails After navigating the northern loop, the route transitions into the community connector trail systems. This section takes you south, winding past residential greenbelts and navigating several street crossings (marked by warning icons). You’ll pass the "STEM Up" marker and continue on the path loop, hitting Water Station #2 before wrapping back around.

Loop 3: The Southeastern Street Tour Emerging from the trail system on the southeast side, the course loops along paved residential roads. You will pass by local landmarks such as "Broken Hill Key" and "Same Day Service Hauling," soaking in the community vibes as you complete this substantial loop back toward the school.

The Ridgeview Return & Grand Finale As you finish the final major loop, you’ll see the familiar high school campus on the horizon near Ronald L. Feist Park. You’re now on the home stretch!
