Training: Running Rookie 5k Training Program

Sign up for the Running Rookie training program if you have never run before, or there's been a very long time since you've run regularly.

Prerequisite: In order to have success with this program, you must be able to walk briskly for one hour, 3 times per week minimum, OR you must be in a regular aerobic exercise program (spin, kickboxing, aerobic classes, etc.) leading up to the start of this program.

Training: Beginner 5k Training Program

Sign up for the Beginner program if you have some running under your belt. By that, we mean that you've completed a 5k in the past 6 months and have been running somewhat regularly leading up to the start of the program...OR you are a fairly regular runner coming back from an injury or illness.

Prerequisite: The first week of the program you MUST be able to run at an easy, conversational pace for 2 minutes straight (any pace).

Open to ages 12+.

Training: Intermediate 5k Training Program

Sign up for the Intermediate program if you have running experience and solid baseline fitness who would like the challenge of becoming stronger and faster at the 5K distance. The program assumes that you have a baseline of 45 minutes of aerobic endurance, with an interval of 5 minutes at conversational running pace already under your belt, as this program is more intense than the Beginner program.
