A Fundraising Team is a group of individual fundraisers working together toward a shared fundraising goal. Anyone can create a Fundraising Team. When you create one, you become the Team Captain and can invite friends, family members, coworkers, neighbors, or classmates to join your team, raise funds, or make a donation.

New Team Captains

Everyone who registers for the Hope Hustle will automatically receive an individual fundraising page. During registration, you will have the opportunity to create a Fundraising Team on the donation step.

If you miss that opportunity, you can create a team later. While logged into RunSignup, click the round profile icon in the upper-right corner and select My Profile. From there:

• Scroll to the Fundraising section and click Edit Fundraiser.
• Scroll to the Team Fundraiser section.
• Follow the prompts to create and personalize your team.

Give your team a memorable name and add a photo and short message explaining why you are raising funds for breast cancer research.

Choose a goal that is ambitious but achievable. Starting early gives you and your team more time to build momentum.

We recommend beginning with a team goal of $1,000. With four team members, that is $250 per person. Every gift, regardless of size, brings your team closer to its goal and helps advance breast cancer research.

Invite friends, family members, coworkers, neighbors, classmates, or teammates to join you. People can participate by registering for the Hope Hustle, fundraising alongside you, or making a donation to your team.

Be sure to tell them why this cause matters to you. A personal invitation is often the most meaningful and effective way to grow your team.

Share your team page through email, text, and social media. Ask your team members to share it with their networks as well.

Explain why you created your team and invite others to register, fundraise, or donate. Always include the direct link to your team page so people can easily get involved.

The most successful teams stay engaged leading up to race day. Share fundraising updates, celebrate new members and donations, and encourage one another as you work toward your goal.
