Holiday Hustle 5K

THIS RACE HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO SEVERE WEATHER CONDITIONS!

Due to severe weather conditions, the county and local municipalities have asked us to move the Holiday Hustle 5k to a Virtual Run. We will not be able to run on the village streets or county roads due to severe weather in the area.  This was decided with public safety in mind. 

You are all welcome to join us at Babes Tap tomorrow, Sunday, November 30th from 11-1pm for packet pickup.  You will receive your race bib, medal, shirt and swag bag.
 
Chili and drink coupons will be honored on Sunday, November 30th from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM only.
 
The drawings for the raffles will be at 1pm. You can still purchase tickets before the drawing.
 
Our charity, Breaking Away, is such an important program and we are grateful for all of you and your support! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
 
Unable to make packet pickup on Sunday, November 30th, not a problem.  Packets will also be available for pickup at Lori Bonarek Realty, 640 S. Broadway, Coal City, IL  Monday thru Friday 9:00 AM - 4:00 pm.

Hello Runners! 

We are so happy to announce that this year's event will be highlighting Breaking Away; a non profit in Grundy County that helps victims of domestic violence break away from their abusers in an emergency situation. They provide shelter, clothing, food, transportation and necessities to victims. Their goal is to spread awareness to the community that there are resources out there to help those in domestic situations and they are not alone!

About the Race:

NEW THIS YEAR- Ages 5-17 register at a discount! Only $25

The race will start at Babe’s Tap, 755 S. Broadway St., travel south on Broadway St. to Reed Rd., left and loop through Cardinal Transport and then back north on Broadway.  There is a non-refundable entry fee for early registration which is $35 and if you register 11/16/25 or later it will be $40. Walk up registrations are available but note that it will cost $40 (minors will still be $25). Participants are guaranteed a T-shirt, medal, and swag bag if registered BEFORE November 15th as we need to have time for shirts to be made. Anyone registered after then will receive items while supplies last. The goodie bag, or swag bag, will have quite a few good items this year. Koozies, coupons, chapstick, drink samples, pens, and more!! Babe's Tap will also be providing each participant the opportunity to have 1 free drink (alcoholic or non) and a bowl of chili! 

**This is a "Fun Run" and holiday attire is encouraged. Although it is a Fun "Run" this does not mean you must run it. Walking is also permitted.** 

Children are also encouraged to join in on the fun.

Awards will be presented to each participant and the Overall top male and female and top male and female finisher in each age division. (14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over).  So in reality you have to opportunity to receive 3 Medals! 

Race start time will be 11:00 AM and packet pickup starts at 10:00 AM at Babe's Tap (755 S. Broadway St.)

Registrations received through November 15, 2025 11:59 PM are GUARANTEED a T-Shirt and Swag Bag.  Registrations received on November 16, 2025 or later will receive items while supplies last and are not guaranteed.
