Description
April 10th, 2027 is the date for the 21st running of the Greene & Schultz Hoosier Half Marathon, 5K and 10k. Once again, Ivy Tech and the Monroe County Parks and Rec will continue to be the home of the 2027 course. We are very thankful for our partnership with Ivy Tech, Cook Medical, Simtra, the Monroe County YMCA and the Monroe County Parks & Rec to bring you this challenging course that highlights these businesses and the Karst Park Greenway that spans all the way to Ellettsville. The 5K will run around Cook Medical and up to the NW YMCA before turning around and returning to Ivy Tech. The 10k option continues past the YMCA and down onto the Karst park Greenway before reversing course and returning to Ivy Tech. The Half Marathon option continues on from there to span all of the new section of the Karst Park Greenway and takes you all the way to Ellettsville before reversing course. After a few years on this course, we want to again caption the saying that this is the TOUGHEST RUN YOU'LL EVER LOVE!!
In 2024 we reduced our prices in spite of all of the increases in cost with inflation. It helped to boost our attendance and hopefully increased some positive word of mouth as well. We kept those reduced prices for 2025, and 2026 but unfortunately, we are raising the prices by $5 for each race in 2027 to cover the increasing costs that we are all feeling. We're happy to highlight that this course is easier to secure, safer and more cost effective than our previous course through campus and town and it's because of that reason that our event remains one of the most cost friendly options around. Please help us by bringing a friend to join us on April 10th, 2027 for the 21st running of the Greene & Schultz Hoosier Half Marathon 5k and 10k!

Route
We are excited to continue to be partnering with Ivy Tech, Cook, Simtra, the YMCA, and the Monroe County Parks & Rec to bring you an exciting course that will showcase Cook Inc, the YMCA, and the new Karst Park trail all the way to Ellettsville and reversing course back to Ivy Tech for our post-race celebrations. New for 2025, we are moving the start / finish to the back courtyard of Ivy Tech to make room for more parking up front and help with traffic patterns in and out of Ivy Tech.
