Run for your Active-duty, Veteran, or Fallen Hero!

Vet Fest was created by Delawareans who are motivated by the 22in22 movement that encourages people to run or walk 22 miles in 22 days to highlight the epidemic of military related suicides.  

Every day nearly 22 of our warriors succumb to the silent wounds that few of us can understand.  In response, Vet Fest was created to demonstrate our passion for supporting the military and first responder communities and especially our combat veterans.  This day is filled with music, food, laughter and community.  Proceeds from this event go directly to support Stop Soldier Suicide, Inc., a 501c3 that works 1-on-1 with troops, veterans, and military family members to help navigate the maze of services, programs, and assistance available.

Registration (Day of registration will be available for $30 per event)

• PATRIOTS 5K: $25.00 Scenic out-and-back, rolling 3.1 mile course; Course Map 

• GORUCK 10K- Special division: $30.00There is NO minimum weight requirement to RUCK. It is an honor system — challenge yourself!  That being said, if you want to be eligible for the top finisher prize, you will need to adhere to these standards. • If you are under 150 lbs, carry a 10 lb weight and if you are over 150 lbs, carry 30 lbs. RUCKERS MUST SUPPLY THEIR OWN WEIGHTED PACKS.
  Each participant will have a 10 or 30 lb Ruck Plate (or equivalent in non-consumable weight) in their rucksack at the start point. 

• The GORUCK - Special Division course will follow the same 5K course and will split from the 5K runners at the canal.  Course Map. We Will Verify Weight At The Finish Line For Top Finishers. Look For The RUCK Team Near The Stage On Saturday
   
  

• MILITARY, FIRST RESPONDER, ROTC, COLOR BEARER & STUDENT: $15 (Either 5K or RUCK event- use coupon code 22in22 at checkout) -Must be former or active Military, First Responder, ROTC, wear your favorite military or first responder unit’s colors & emblem and/or carry a flag supporting our first responders, military or country, or be a current student

• NEW Run for Our Heroes .5K $10 Special custom bibs for all aged 12 and under participants  

• Upgrade:  Purchase a Vet Fest tee shirt or hat and support our mission to end military suicides $20 This option is available as an add-on to your event registration.

• 06:30 Volunteers Arrive

• 08:00 10K Event (only) Day of registration and bib pick-up 

• 08:45 National Anthem & Pep-rally

• 09:00 GORUCK 10K Start

• 11:00 GORUCK 10K Awards

Group B: 5K Event

• 09:30 5K Event (only) Day of registration and bib pick-up

• 10:15 National Anthem & Pep-rally

• 10:30 PATRIOTS 5K Start

• 12:00 PATRIOTS 5K Awards

Group C: Veteran & Civilian Luncheon and Music

• 11:30 Veteran Groups Arrive/Set-up

• 12:00 Lunch & Music

• 14:00 Event Concludes

GORUCK 10K Awards:

American Legion Post 25 is Sponsoring Top 3 team prizes and Top 3 individual prizes.

$500 to the first finisher of the 10K RUCK  that will be donated to the military 501c3 of the winners choice*!

PATRIOTS 5K Awards: 

Top M/F overall; Top M/F 10-year age groups (19-under; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70+)
