This is an In-Person race with Virtual options.
We are on a mission to stop ALS so come run LOCO with us at our 15th annual race benefiting the Emory ALS Center. The Fiesta 5k Challenge brings everyone out for a morning of health & fitness, awareness for ALS and celebrating life.
Race Registration will be available through 5pm on April 23rd online and at North GA Running Co AND on race morning at race location or online. On race morning, allow yourself enough time to register online from your mobile device, pick up your bib number from the check in table, and get to the start line. Registration will close 15 minutes before race start time.
The 5k will have a rolling start and results for each participant will be chip timed; your time will begin when you cross the start mat. So there is no need to crowd the start line if you are one of the faster runners. Results will be posted live at this link: RESULTS HERE and you will receive your time via text or email as soon as you finish. If you haven’t yet opted in for text/email results, make sure to log in to your registration and do so before April 24th.
Virtual Runners: You will receive email instructions on how to upload your results.

Sponsors will be featured on the website and social media and are invited to set up on race day to interact with participants and spectators.
Since 2007, Team Duffy/Cure for ALS has hosted the event that brings entire families out to participate in this well-organized race on the beautiful Big Creek Greenway in Cumming, GA. The Fiesta 5k Challenge has raised over $350,000 for the Emory ALS Center. ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) is a neuromuscular disease that attacks the brain and spinal cord. It takes away the ability to move, speak, swallow and ultimately breathe. The Emory ALS Center is part of the Emory Brain Health Center, led by Dr. Jonathan Glass, is one of the largest clinical centers for ALS in the United States. Their team approach to ALS care and research bridges multiple disciplines and departments, all sharing the same goal of a world without ALS.
